USB Interface Kit now available

Auckland, NZ. Thursday 3rd October 2013 – Zenith Asset Management Ltd, the makers of the ScanCam™ products today announce the release of our all new USB Interface Kit. Comprising a complete single-lane kitset with everything you need to attach a ScanCam™ positive scan indicator to a USB* hand or presentation scanner.

The kitset contents are:
1 x V5 ScanCam head assembly.
1 x ScanCam Interface Cable 2m/6.5′.
1 x 1m/3′ USB male-male lead.
1 x ScanCam USB ‘HID’ Interface module.
1 x 1-page instruction sheet for self install.
1 x Mounting hardware goodie bag.

The kits are currently being rolled out throughout all lanes of a duty free chain here in NZ with Australia expected to deploy in November.

The complete kit has a RRP of $199 USD and will work with all USB scanners that are configured for keyboard emulation mode or HID which is the default setting.

*Unfortunately, the current iteration will not work with scanners utilizing powered USB cables or with scanners connecting to IBM 46xx hosts.
